Yoga On The Mountain

Have you ever tried a mountain pose, on top of a mountain? Take the gondola up to Southern Vermont's highest peak for a relaxing 90-minute Mountain Top Yoga class. The summit of Stratton Mountain features a one-of-a-kind wooden yoga deck to comfortably host classes in a scenic setting surrounded by mountain high energy and views. Each class fee includes a lift ticket to ride the gondola to class and back down to the base area after the class.

  • Be sure to arrive at least 25 minutes prior to class to ensure you have enough time to check-in, ride to the summit and get settled on the deck before class.

When is Mountain Top Yoga offered?
Available every Saturday and Sunday during the summer season. Additional Holiday dates are available too. Each class beings at 11am and ends at 12:30pm.

Where do I check-in and pick up my gondola ticket?
The check-in location for Mountain Top Yoga is the HUB located in the main base area, next to the gondola stairs. You will receive your lift ticket at check-in. Arrive at least 25 minutes prior to class to ensure you have enough time to check-in, ride to the summit and get settled on the deck before class.

How long is the gondola ride?
Be sure to arrive at least 25 minutes prior to class to ensure you have enough time to check-in, ride to the summit and get settled on the deck before class. The gondola ascent takes about 14 min to the summit with a short 3 min walk to the yoga deck.

Do I need my own yoga mat?
If you have a favorite mat, bring it up! Otherwise, rental yoga mats are available at no additional cost. Please inquire about availability at the Hub when you are checking in before you ride to the summit.

What happens if it rains?
Mountain Top Yoga availability is subject to weather. If it is raining, an alternate location of the Upper East Wing of main Base Lodge will be used. Please keep in mind that it may begin raining at any time after class has started on the summit. Please pack accordingly for unforeseen inclement weather (wind, rain, sun, temperature) on the summit.

Can I bring a backpack?
Of course, while there are no available lockers on the summit, the yoga deck is large enough to store your belongings, like a rain jacket, water, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. You are responsible for your own belongings.

Are there bathrooms?
There are no restrooms on the summit. Please plan to come to class accordingly.

Is there water available?
While there are water fountains in the main base lodge, there is no available water at the summit. Please bring a water bottle suitable for your own needs.

Do I get a discount with an active Homeowner, Resident & Employee Memberships STFC Membership?
Discounted class fee available to those with active Homeowner, Resident & Employee Memberships. Members please call or stop by the Stratton Training & Fitness Center to register and get your membership discount. 802-297-4230.
