New this season, Skin With A Guide Tours are perfect for those who may have heard of skinning and are looking for a means to try it out. Fitness-minded guests looking for an active experience will be fitted into appropriate touring gear and then head up the mountain for an introductory uphill climbing experience.
The guided tour includes the rental of uphill touring skis, poles, skins, and ski touring boots. Your guide and our rental experts will help get you fitted for gear and onto the snow for an uphill adventure. Starting in the Base Area, the tours depart at 6AM as guides will lead the group at an easy pace up the mountain to your desired stopping point. During the tour, guides will provide pointers on touring equipment, uphill skinning techniques, and knowledge of the surrounding natural environment. Once your hiking objective is met, you will transition to ski mode as a group and descend back down to the main Base Area on fresh groomers before anyone else has made turns on the trails. rich-text, responsive-table
