How To Ride
- We cannot cross the street for pickups or drop-offs, so you need to board the bus in the morning on its way to Manchester on the north side of the road at the Econolodge and Travelodge. The bus will not stop at these locations on the southbound side of the road going toward Stratton.
- All riders and drivers are required to wear face coverings while onboard the bus. Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth at all times. If you do not feel well do not ride the bus. Other operating policies and route schedules may change without notice. If you do not have a face mask ask the driver for one.
- Buses can run behind schedule due to traffic or bad weather. Please download the Transit app and look up Route 14 Stratton-Manchester. This will show where the bus is and will provide an approximate time it will be at your stop. You can elect to have travel alerts and approaching bus texts sent to you.
- Be waiting at your stop five minutes ahead of the scheduled departure time. You must be ready to board the bus when it arrives. Do not ask the driver to wait for you or another rider.
- Please do not litter at the bus stops. Bus stops are usually located on private properties that have been voluntarily provided by property owners for your convenience.
- Vermont law prohibits any open containers of alcohol in vehicles. Please do not try to conceal an open container when boarding our buses. You will be refused a ride for doing so.
- If you spill something on the bus, please ask the driver for a cleaner and paper towel so you can clean your mess up.
- Allow all riders on the bus to exit before you attempt to get on.
- Please move to the back of the bus when it's busy so that every available seat or standing space can be occupied during peak times.
- Don’t assume the driver knows where you are getting off – pull the cord in advance! Don’t assume the driver can see you along the side of the road or at a stop –especially at night. Wave at the bus and shine your cell phone’s flashlight to alert us that you want to get on.
- If you lose an item on the bus please call the office at 802-464-8487.
- If a rider boards with an infant, kindly offer them your seat.
- Keep your feet off the seat, and do not lie down on a seat.
