Cross-Country Skiing Lessons
Stratton Mountain’s Nordic Center features 10km of cross-country ski trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing. Located in the Sun Bowl area, the Nordic Trails are regularly maintained and groomed for the best cross-country skiing conditions daily.
For those looking to learn, group, private and semi-private lessons are available on weekends and some holidays and are taught by instructors certified by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and Professional Ski Instructors of America. WHAT TO KNOW, WHERE TO GO
- A Nordic Trail Pass is required to ski the Nordic Trails, and is not included in this rental.
- Head to the Sun Bowl Nordic Center located through the archway on the left just before the Sun Bowl parking lots.
- Parking is available in the Sun Bowl lots or along the access road near the Nordic Center.
- Pass through the archway and up the small hill to the warming hut for check-in.
- Dogs are not permitted on the Nordic Trails at any time.
- UNMARKED HAZARDS: Please use caution as unmarked hazards may exist.

Nordic Center Lessons
XC Ski Group Lesson
Enjoy a 50-minute Group Lesson for cross-country skiing on Saturdays and Sundays at 10AM. Up to 6 participants per class. Lesson is available for ages 6 & Up, however, guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Tax included in price. Lesson runs from 10:00am-10:50am.
$79 per person. Includes Nordic Center Trail Fees and Rentals.
Additional Holiday Dates: December 23-27, 2024.
Semi Private XC Ski Lessons
Book a Semi-Private Cross-Country Ski Lesson for $179 with the option of adding up to 3 additional people (4 total) for $65 each. 50-minute Lessons begin at 9AM, 11AM and 1PM on Saturdays and Sundays. For private lessons on weekdays, please call the Nordic Center to verify availability 802-297-4567. Includes Nordic Center Trail Fees and Rentals.
Additional Holiday Dates: December 23-27, 2024.
Learn to Nordic Junior Daily Session
$99 - December 23-30, 2024 - 9AM-12PM - Ages 7-13
This is a 3 hour group learn to Nordic Ski Program offered over holiday break. Sessions include 3 hours with an instructor where participants will get a chance to practice their skills at end of instruction. This program includes an all day trail pass and equipment. Must be at least 7yrs old to participate max age is 13. Groups are capped at 7. If interested in signing up for multiple sessions, you will receive a discount on site during check in. Taxes and fees are included in price.
Junior Learn to Nordic Full Package (7 Sessions)
Sessions include 3 hours with an instructor where participants will get a chance to practice their skills at end of instruction. This program includes an all day trail pass and equipment. Must be at least 7yrs old to participate max age is 13. Groups are capped at 7. Dates included in the full package session are 12/23, 12/24, 12/26, 12/27, 12/28, 12/29 and 12/30 of 2024. Taxes and fees are included in price.
